The Fike FIK-UV-IR-F-AS11 is a UV/IR optical flame detector for fast, reliable detection of hydrocarbon fires, both visible and non-visible, in all weather and light conditions. This version is for hydrocarbon fires only.
It detects slow-growing fires as well as sudden eruptions of fire, with relay, 0-20 mA and Modbus RS-485 outputs. This version has M25 conduit openings.
Key features
- UV/IR detection of hydrocarbon fires; IR spectral response 4.0 to 5.0 microns
- Ultra-fast mode detects fireballs or explosions within 5 ms
- Detects a 0.1 m² n-heptane pan fire at up to 30 m
- UV and IR warning levels on the 0-20 mA output when elevated radiation is detected
- High immunity to false alarms
- Data/event logger records alarms, faults and other events in non-volatile memory
- Built-in test (automatic and manual) of window cleanliness and overall detector operation
- Window heater to prevent condensation and icing
- Tilt mount (FIK-TMO-S01, ordered separately) can be fitted above or below the detector
