The Hochiki YBN-R/6M is a conventional detector mounting base approved for marine applications by DNV, for the CDX range of marine-approved detectors such as the SOC-E3NM, DCD-AE3M and DRD-EM. It has square cable clamps and an integrated third terminal for a remote indicator output.
The base does not provide line continuity when a detector is removed, so any call points on the zone should be wired first. Hochiki's marine range is based on its ESP and CDX ranges and is approved for marine use by DNV under the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED), for ships, oil platforms, offshore installations and wind farms.
