The Hochiki DCD-CE3M is a marine approved conventional heat detector combining rate of rise detection with a 90°C fixed temperature element. It uses a thermistor and linearising circuit to give an accurate linear response, and suits areas where smoke detectors are unsuitable because of steam or cooking fumes, such as kitchens and drying rooms. It is approved for marine use by DNV and fits the YBN-R/6M marine base.
