The Hochiki FL-BSPA is a bulkhead sampling point assembly (20 mm) for the FIRElink aspirating smoke detection range. Capillary sampling places sampling points away from the main sampling pipe, using short lengths of flexible tube branching off the pipe with an assembly on the end to give the right air flow. This is useful where the main pipe cannot be routed through the protected area for technical or aesthetic reasons.
Sampling points let air be drawn from a precise location into the FIRElink sampling pipe and back to the detector. The Pipe-cad software supplied with each FIRElink detector calculates the pipe length and sampling hole configuration for each installation.
