The Honeywell FSL100-IR3 is a triple infrared (IR3) flame detector from the FSL100 series, for indoor and outdoor use including ATEX Zone 2/22 areas. It detects a 0.1 m² n-heptane fire at up to 35 m within 10 seconds and is particularly suited to liquid hydrocarbon and dirty, smoky fires, being less affected by window contamination. Relay and 4-20 mA outputs let it connect to fire alarm control panels, relay-driven equipment or PLCs.
Key features
- Triple IR sensing with flame flicker-frequency analysis for false alarm rejection
- Good resistance to direct and reflected sunlight, artificial light, arcs and electrical discharges
- Alarm and fault relays plus a stepped 4-20 mA output as standard
- Connects to fire panels using end-of-line and alarm resistors
- Comprehensive automatic self-test plus manual self-test
- Pressure compensating element to avoid moisture build-up in the housing
- Lightweight GRP housing in high-visibility red with pre-formed knockouts
- Optional swivel mount (ordered separately); FSL100-TL and FSL100-TLX test lamps available
