The 2020DBSD is a deep detector mounting base with a built-in Schottky diode, for System Sensor Vision (2020 series) conventional detectors. Diode bases are used with an active end-of-line device (such as Notifier 020-417) so the panel can monitor a detector being removed while the rest of the zone stays in operation.
