The Notifier NFSTI-THE is an addressable heat detector from Notifier's Self-Test range, with a built-in isolator. It can be programmed as a fixed-temperature or rate-of-rise detector. Self-test works by safely heating the thermistor to perform a real heat test on the detector.
Each detector also has a built-in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon, which the Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) app picks up automatically. The engineer can see device details within visual inspection range and confirm the visual inspection in the app. The self-test functions need a Notifier INSPIRE panel (software 1.2.0-R.108 or later), a CLSS gateway, the CLSS mobile app and a self-test licence.
Key features
- Programmable heat modes: 58 °C fixed plus rate-of-rise (A1R), 78 °C fixed high temperature (BS) or 58 °C fixed (A1S)
- Two LEDs give 360° local status indication; optional remote LED indicator connection via the standard base terminals
- Built-in isolator that can be used or not, depending on the wiring
- Rotary address switches: 01 to 159
- Tamper resistance prevents removal from the base without a tool
- Works with both AP and CLIP protocols (self-test mode requires AP)
- Test modes: single device, loop or whole panel; up to 1 minute per device
- Full compliance reports can be generated through CLSS
