The Notifier NFX-SMT2-IV is an Opal NFX-series analogue addressable multi-criteria detector that combines an optical smoke sensor with a rate-of-rise heat sensor. This is the ivory version without an isolator.
The heat sensor supports the optical sensor, which improves false-alarm immunity and gives a faster response to a wide range of developing fires. In areas where normal daytime activity could cause false alarms, the detector can be programmed to work as heat-only and then return automatically to optical/heat mode. NFX-series detectors support the Opal (Advanced) protocol and remain compatible with the earlier CLIP protocol.
