Notifier Opal Heat Detector with Isolator
The Notifier Opal NFXI-TFIX58 and NFXI-TFIX78 are fixed temperature analogue addressable heat detectors employing low mass thermistors and microprocessor technology for fast response and linear temperature sensing. Their linear response allows these detectors to signal temperatures across a range from 58°C (Class A1S) to 78°C (Class BS).
The Notifier Opal NFXI-TDIFF uses the same thermistor and microprocessor technology to provide an alarm when the rate of rise in temperature exceeds 10°C per minute (typical) or when the temperature exceeds 58°C (Response Class A1R).
Notifier's Opal protocol allows detectors to be software configured as:
• Fixed 58°C heat detector
• Fixed 78°C heat detector
• 58°C rate of rise heat detector
For backwards compatibility and approval continuity, all three versions remain available as separate part numbers.
The sensing elements of all three heat detectors are panel controllable through the Opal protocol, allowing sensitivity thresholds to be adjusted by the control panel. This enables the device to be customised for changing environmental conditions within the protected area.
The detectors feature built in short circuit isolation and two integral tri colour LEDs that provide 360° local visual indication of device status. The LEDs are programmable with static or flashing red, amber, and green status indications.
