A Talentum 16000 series IR2 flame detector in the NF-approved version. It responds to the flickering, low-frequency (1-15 Hz) infrared radiation given off by flames, using two IR sensors at different wavelengths to tell real fires from other sources of radiation.
Key features
- Dual IR sensing for high immunity to false alarms, including flickering sunlight
- Detects almost all flames, from hydrocarbon fires through to invisible hydrogen fires
- Works even if the window is contaminated by oil, dust, water vapour or ice
- Selectable sensitivity and response speed
- Programmable relay outputs - normally open or normally closed, latching or non-latching
- Built-in automatic and manual test
- NF-approved variant of the standard IR2 (16581)
