The Xtralis VESDA VLI-885 is a VESDA LaserINDUSTRIAL (VLI) aspirating smoke detector with VESDAnet, built for industrial applications and harsh environments of up to 2,000 m². It combines a fail-safe Intelligent Filter with a clean-air barrier for optics protection, giving absolute detection and long chamber life without re-calibration. The VESDAnet version can report status across VESDAnet as well as through its relays.
Key features
- Up to 2,000 m² coverage with up to 4 inlet pipes and 360 m total pipe length
- Intelligent Filter reduces pollution in the air sample and is fully monitored, for consistent sensitivity over the detector's life
- Lint trap, sub-sampling probe (inertial separator) and secondary filter reduce nuisance alarms from dust and fibres
- Clean-air barrier protects the optics; Clean Air Zero takes a reference reading of the chamber background
- Robust IP66 enclosure, suitable for Class 1 Division 2 applications (Groups A, B, C and D)
- Ultrasonic flow sensing, AutoLearn Smoke and Flow, referencing and air-path monitoring
- Five relays (Fire, Fault and 3 configurable), latching or non-latching; expandable GPI and relays
- Supported by Xtralis ASPIRE, VSC and VSM4 software; local USB configuration port
- Modular field-replaceable parts for ease of servicing
