Eaton BiWire Flexi 8 Zone Relay with FRE / FPE Outputs (BWOB8Z)

The Eaton BWOB8Z is the 8-zone option board for the Eaton BiWire Flexi conventional/two-wire fire alarm panel. It is a daughter card that fits inside the panel and adds outputs to Fire Alarm Routing Equipment (FRE), Fire Protection Equipment (FPE) and a relay for each zone.

Eaton lists it as "8 zone relays + FRE/FPE" in the BiWire Flexi range, alongside the 8-zone BiWire Flexi panel (EFBW8ZFLEXI).

Key features

• FRE output for phone diallers and/or building management systems, complying with EN 54-2 clause 7.9.1 (outputs to fire alarm routing equipment)
• FPE output to drive door release mechanisms, fire screens, sprinkler systems and gas release systems, complying with EN 54-2 clause 7.10.1 (Type A)
• FRE and FPE outputs are monitored for short-circuit and open-circuit faults
• 8 volt-free zonal relays that follow the fire condition of the matching zone circuit
• Zonal relays can be set to C/NO or C/NC with jumpers
