The Eaton MDP201 duct mounting probe unit detects smoke in ventilation ducts. It is designed for use with Eaton's range of addressable and conventional optical smoke sensors and detectors.
The sampling chamber mounts on the outside of the duct, with inlet and exhaust sampling tubes passing into the duct in an area of low turbulence. Air drawn through the chamber passes over the smoke detector fitted inside, so smoke travelling through the ventilation system is detected. The detector and base are ordered separately.
