The Hochiki FL-PIPE is red 0.75" (¾") nominal bore sampling pipe, supplied in 3 m lengths, from the FIRElink range of sampling pipe, fittings and accessories. These are designed specifically for low pressure / high flow rate aspirating smoke detection systems such as Hochiki FIRElink.
FIRElink sampling pipe and fittings are made from red ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), chosen because it is easy to install and offers excellent rigidity, chemical resistance, impact strength and weather resistance. FIRElink detectors use ¾" nominal bore (27 mm O/D) sampling pipe. Hochiki recommends cutting plastic sampling pipe with purpose-made shears rather than a saw, and drilling sampling holes at low speed to avoid swarf and burrs.
