The Honeywell 583381.31 SCU (System Communication Unit) is the digital audio memory for the VARIODYN D1 voice alarm system. It can record and play back several audio streams at once, connects to other VARIODYN D1 modules over monitored Ethernet, and can log and record announcements with date, time and activation details. Note: safety-related voice messages must be stored in the DOM, not the SCU.
