A general-purpose, very heavy-duty surface-mount magnetic contact. This variant is supplied with 3m of thick, 4-core defence standard cable (16-2-4A). Its ruggedness is further enhanced by polyurethane resin sealant and IP-rated cable glands.
N/O4S is ideal for locations where other surface-mount contacts have failed, up to Security Grade 2. The 4-wire (2x switch, 2x tamper) design allows it to be used as a straight (dry/resistorless) contact, while also permitting the addition of installer resistors if wired back to a suitable junction box.
This unit has an enhanced electrical rating, allowing up to 1A switching/1.5A carry current at 0-100VDC. Operating gap depends on the magnet used – expect approximately 60mm when paired with an AM/9 and approximately 75mm with an AM/10 (sold separately).
