The Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-ERO-16 is the 16-port Ethernet relay module for the Li-ion Tamer GEN 3 lithium-ion battery off-gas detection system, which detects the venting of battery electrolyte solvent vapours that occurs early in a lithium-ion cell failure so that mitigation can take place before thermal runaway.
It connects to the Li-ion Tamer controller over the detection network and provides Form C volt-free relay outputs for connecting alarms and other signals to a battery management system or other control equipment, alongside the controller's Modbus TCP/IP output.
Key features
- 16 SPDT Form C relay contacts on screw terminal blocks (16 to 30 AWG wiring)
- Relay outputs are fully configurable from the controller's software user interface; relay 1 on each module defaults to watchdog
- Communicates with the controller using Modbus TCP/IP over Ethernet
- Further modules can be daisy-chained over RS-485 for more relays, using the RJ45 pass-through ports (up to 3 modules, 3 m between modules) or screw terminals (up to 1000 m for the whole chain)
- ADDR dial for setting each module's address
- Powered by screw terminals or barrel plug; no mounting hardware included, so use the LT-ACC-ERO-MKT DIN-rail mount kit
