The 020-417 is an active end-of-line module for Notifier NFS2-8 conventional (non-addressable) fire alarm panels. It is used with diode detector bases so that the panel can monitor a detector being removed while the rest of the zone keeps working. It is also needed with the 020-743 capacitor kit when detectors are not compatible with capacitive EOL monitoring.
