Signaline FT-78-EN with catenary wire (SL-FT-78-EN-CT) is a fixed temperature, non-resettable line-type (linear) heat detection cable with a 78°C alarm temperature and a stainless steel catenary wire spiralled around it, supplied here as a 50m length. The catenary wire makes the detector cable self-supporting, so it can be installed across large spans, in hard-to-reach areas or where fixing at the normal spacing would be too difficult or time consuming.
The cable detects a build-up of heat anywhere along its length and initiates an alarm when any point reaches the alarm temperature. It is approved by UL to EN54 part 28 and is used with the Signaline LocatorPlus-EN controller and FT-EOL-EN end-of-line unit. A turnbuckle, hook and support are sold separately to complete the catenary installation.
