The Xtralis F-BO-AFE70-2 is the low-flow version of the FAAST Automatic Purging Unit. It blows compressed air through an aspirating smoke detection (ASD) pipe network on a schedule or on demand, preventing dust and dirt from blocking sampling holes and pipework.
Key features
- Compatible with VESDA, ICAM and FAAST aspirating smoke detection systems
- Single built-in solenoid valve releases compressed air into the pipe network, protecting the unit from compressed-air damage
- Patented design with no air resistance (as defined by EN 54-20)
- 6 user-selectable preventative or event-triggered purging programs, with short or long cycles
- Internal clock, or connect an external timer; manual start from an external push-button
- Can start automatically on a fault message from the ASD system (via the fire panel)
- Several units can be networked in master/slave mode
- Commissioned without software tools; multicoloured status LED
