The Xtralis VESDA VHX-1300 is a wall-mounted Open Protocol High Level Interface (HLI) in a metal box, using the peer-to-peer model. It links a VESDAnet network with PC monitoring software, building management systems (BMS) or fire alarm control panels (the "host"). In the peer-to-peer model the host polls the HLI for information and the HLI also sends unsolicited messages, so both supervise the link; the host can request and receive multiple messages. Its built-in VESDAnet interface means no separate VESDAnet socket module is needed.
Key features
- Peer-to-peer Open Protocol communication over RS-232
