The Xtralis VESDA VHX-1420 is the wall-mounted, metal box version of the VESDA Modbus Type 3 High Level Interface (HLI). It integrates a VESDAnet network with host monitoring platforms such as building management systems (BMS) and fire alarm control panels, which monitor and control VESDA devices by reading and writing registers in the Modbus map. Its built-in VESDAnet interface means no separate VESDAnet socket module is needed.
