The Ziton FD-CH001R is the Fireray One anti-condensation heater (FFE part 1060-000), designed for environments where condensation affects the operation of optical beam smoke detectors.
Condensation forms when the surrounding air is warmer than the surface it touches. The heater uses forced air to circulate warm air, keeping the detector lens slightly warmer than the surrounding air. This reduces the likelihood of condensation forming on the lens and, in turn, the potential for false alarms.
