The AirSense Addressable Panel Interface Card (APIC) for the Notifier protocol (9-30433) lets an AirSense aspirating smoke detector (ASD) be addressed directly on a Notifier addressable fire alarm loop. The card plugs into the main control board inside the detector enclosure and connects by ribbon cable, so no extra wiring is needed.
Detectors are wired onto the loop using plug-in terminals on the detector main board, and the address is set with switches on the card. In single address mode the card appears at one address on the Notifier loop; multi address mode monitors several detectors at consecutive addresses from one card and is normally only used in the Command Module.
Key features
- Direct addressing on a Notifier protocol loop
- Ribbon cable connection, no hard wiring
- Piggy-backs onto the detector main board
- Address set by switches on the card
- Single address and multi address modes
