The AirSense Air Heater Box (9-30422) is used with AirSense Stratos aspirating smoke detectors (ASD) protecting cold stores and freezers. Where the protected area is consistently below the detector's operating temperature, the detector must be mounted outside it, and the heater box warms the air drawn from the cold area by passing it over a heating element before it enters the detector.
This minimises condensation on sampling pipework outside the protected area and keeps the detector components within their specified temperature range.
