The AirSense Addressable Panel Interface Card (APIC) for the Ziton protocol (9-30437, model ZP-LSI-1) lets an aspirating smoke detector be addressed directly on the loop of a Ziton ZP3 fire alarm control panel. It plugs into the detector main control board by ribbon cable, so no extra wiring is needed.
The panel recognises the interface as device type HSSD and, depending on the panel software, provides Fault, Alert, Pre-alarm and Fire conditions (Alert is not displayed on ZP3 panels). For ZP panels running software earlier than version 3.07, the available signals should be confirmed with the manufacturer. Up to 127 sensing devices can be connected to each panel loop.
