The Evac+Chair 300H MK5 is the manufacturer's most popular evacuation chair, built so that a single trained operator can take a seated passenger safely down a staircase during an emergency. At only 9.5kg it is easy to handle, but it will carry passengers of up to 182kg, which makes it a dependable all-round choice for offices, schools, shops, hotels and other buildings with conventional straight staircases.
Key features
-
Self-braking friction belt system: the tracks grip the stair edges to keep the descent smooth and control its speed.
-
Extendable handle with double-handed grip: gives the operator a secure, comfortable hold.
-
Anti-slip grip: steadies the chair while the passenger is transferred and while the kickstand is deployed.
-
Improved kickstand with repositioned rear wheels: gives more stability and a quick changeover from two-wheel to four-wheel running.
-
Passenger support: contoured hammock seat, headrest with integrated safety strap and a sewn-in safety belt.
-
50mm high-strength castor wheels: for easy manoeuvring along corridors and landings.
-
Clear graphic instructions on the chair, backed by a step-by-step user guide.
