The IBEX, model 700H, is Evac+Chair's two-person, tracked evacuation chair for spiral, narrow and winder staircases, where conventional evacuation chairs cannot be used. Evac+Chair previously sold it as the IBEX TranSeat and now markets it simply as the IBEX. Unlike descent-only chairs, it can move a seated passenger both up and down stairs. Two trained operators work together with its adjustable brake to control each step, and the track belt takes most of the passenger's weight, which reduces manual handling. It carries passengers of up to 159kg.
