The Hochiki YBN-R/3M(WHT)-SCI is a white marine-approved sensor mounting base with an integral short-circuit isolator (SCI), for Hochiki ESP analogue addressable sensors such as the ALN-ENM, ACC-ENM and ATJ-ENM marine sensors. It detects and isolates short-circuits on the loop. Hochiki's datasheet lists this base as YBN-R/3(SCI)M, available in ivory or white.
If a short-circuit is detected at power-up, the base drops power to the rest of the loop. It does not need a loop address and gives a remote fire LED facility when a sensor is fitted. A fitted sensor stays powered while the base is isolating. Hochiki's marine range is based on its ESP and CDX ranges and is approved for marine use by DNV under the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED), for ships, oil platforms, offshore installations and wind farms.
