The Hochiki ESP FIREbeam Xtra is an addressable reflective beam smoke detector, approved to EN 54-12:2015, for large open spaces such as warehouses, sports halls, shopping centres, museums and cathedrals. It has an integral loop module for full connection to the Hochiki ESP analogue addressable loop.
The standard unit covers 7 to 70 m and can be extended to 140 m or 160 m with range extension kits. A separate controller lets engineers commission, monitor and maintain the beam from ground level. Motorised technology self-aligns the head to the centre of the reflector during commissioning, then keeps checking alignment and realigns if the building moves.
Key features
- 7 to 70 m standard detection range; extension kits increase this up to 160 m
- Motorised self-alignment, with continual correction for building movement
- New optics design increases sensitivity; enhanced software reduces false alarms
- Integral loop module, fully compatible with the Hochiki ESP protocol
- Ground-level controller for commissioning, monitoring and maintenance
- Approved by VdS to EN 54-12:2015
