The Hochiki FL-AD1R is a red 0.75" female to 25 mm male adapter from the FIRElink range of sampling pipe, fittings and accessories. These are designed specifically for low pressure / high flow rate aspirating smoke detection systems such as Hochiki FIRElink.
FIRElink sampling pipe and fittings are made from red ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), chosen because it is easy to install and offers excellent rigidity, chemical resistance, impact strength and weather resistance. Adapters like this let the designer or installer join FIRElink ¾" pipe to 25 mm pipework. Joints in the sampling pipe network should be permanent and airtight, so each joint is cemented with an ABS jointing compound (not at the tapered detector inlets, which take the pipe with a firm twist).
