The Kentec K546 is a 6-way sounder extender board for Kentec Syncro AS and Taktis addressable fire alarm control panels. It adds six individually programmable, monitored sounder outputs, plus two opto-isolated general purpose inputs and two volt-free changeover outputs.
Up to 32 boards can be connected to the panel's dedicated RS485 bus, giving up to 192 extra sounder outputs with 64 inputs and 64 outputs. The boards can be mixed on the bus with 16-channel I/O, 8-way relay and 4-way conventional zone boards. They are typically used where more than the four standard sounder outputs are needed, such as when replacing an existing conventional system. Standard Syncro panels have fixings for one expansion board inside the cabinet.
