The Nittan EVC-IR is a conventional dual-band infra-red flame detector from the Evolution Conventional range. It uses dual-wavelength and flicker-frequency sensing to respond to real flaming fires while rejecting other heat sources, which helps reduce false alarms.
It has an internal alarm current limiting resistor (375 ohm), works on 12 to 32 V conventional circuits and can be connected to Nittan addressable systems through the EV-ZMU2 zone monitor. Nittan lists applications such as large, high-ceiling buildings, gymnasiums, atriums, theatres, warehouses and aircraft hangars (not explosion-proof areas).
