The NFXI-SMT3 is an addressable multi-criteria detector from the Notifier Opal (NFX) range, with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It combines three separate sensing elements that act as one device: infra-red (IR) flame sensing, which measures ambient radiation and flame parameters, plus optical smoke and heat sensing.
It works on Notifier addressable panels using the Opal protocol and is backward compatible with the CLIP protocol. It fits the B501AP base (base not included).
Key features
- Optical, thermal and IR flame sensing in one detector
- Better sensitivity to both smouldering and flaming fires
- Can be used as a replacement for ionisation detectors
- Reduces the risk of false alarms in rooms with en-suite bathrooms, e.g. hotels and student accommodation
- Built-in short-circuit isolator, with status monitored through the protocol
- Rotary address switches (addresses 01 to 159)
- Tri-colour LED: red, green and amber (with Opal protocol)
- Two alarm LEDs and output for a remote indicator
- Manual and automatic test functions
- Fully mechanically and electrically compatible with existing systems and the B501 base
- Compatible with Opal (159+159) and CLIP (99+99) protocols
