The Kentec K545 is a 4 way conventional detection zone module for the Kentec Syncro / Syncro AS analogue addressable fire alarm system. It adds four conventional detection circuits to the panel, so conventional control panels can be replaced and existing conventional systems can be interfaced directly to analogue addressable control systems and networks.
Kentec describes the board as, in effect, a self-contained 4 zone conventional control unit. It connects to the dedicated RS485 communications bus in the control panel and can be fitted in a Syncro panel or in a Kentec Syncro I/O enclosure.
Key features
- 4 monitored detection zone inputs, with up to 30 detectors per circuit
- 2 monitored sounder outputs
- Volt-free fire contact and volt-free fault contact
- Local power supply fault input
- Fail-safe mode: detection inputs still operate the sounder outputs and fire contact if communication with the Syncro panel is lost
- Up to 32 boards on the RS485 bus, giving up to 128 conventional zones with 64 sounder outputs
- Individual fault and operated indications for inputs and outputs
- Inputs and outputs are configurable like loop devices and can be acted on by cause and effect logic
- Can be mixed on the bus with 16 channel I/O boards (K560), 6 way sounder boards (K546) and 8 way relay boards (K547)
- Listed as a plug-in for Kentec Syncro I/O enclosures (K16001M2, K16750M2, K16250M2, K16400M2) and as a product option for Syncro AS panels
