The Fike FIK-IR3-AS11 is a triple IR (IR3) optical flame detector for ultra-fast, reliable detection of all types of hydrocarbon fire, visible and non-visible, in all weather and light conditions.
It handles slow-growing fires as well as sudden eruptions of fire with high immunity to false alarms, and has relay, 0-20 mA and Modbus RS-485 outputs. This version has M25 conduit openings.
Key features
- Triple IR (IR3) detection of hydrocarbon fires
- Ultra-fast mode detects fireballs or explosions within 40 ms
- Extreme sensitivity: detects a 0.1 m² n-heptane pan fire at up to 80 m
- 1.3 s detection of a 0.1 m² n-heptane pan fire at up to 15 m
- High immunity to false alarm sources such as sunlight, arc welding, lamps and heaters
- Data/event logger records alarms, faults and other events in non-volatile memory
- Built-in test (automatic and manual) of window cleanliness and overall detector operation
- Window heater to prevent condensation and icing
- Tilt mount (FIK-TMO-S01, ordered separately) can be fitted above or below the detector
