The Notifier NFXI-OPT-BK is the black version of the Opal NFXI-OPT analogue addressable photoelectric (optical) smoke detector with built-in short-circuit isolator. It is part of the Notifier Opal detector range, which uses the Opal advanced digital protocol, and fits the B501AP analogue sensor base.
The detection chamber is designed to reduce sensitivity changes caused by settling dust and to cut false alarms caused by insects and other debris. Smoothing filters and embedded software help reject transient environmental noise.
Key features
- Optical (light-scattering) smoke detection
- Built-in short-circuit isolator; the Opal protocol can map the loop to locate faults precisely
- Two tri-colour LEDs (red, green, amber) give 360° local status indication, static or blinking
- Rotary decade address switches
- 100% mechanically and electrically backwards compatible with earlier Notifier devices
- Remote indicator output
