The Xtralis VESDA VHX-0320 is the standard (non-wall-mounted) Access High Level Interface (HLI). It integrates VESDAnet networks with host monitoring platforms such as building management systems (BMS) and fire alarm control panels, acting as a proxy for all VESDA devices on the network. A VESDAnet socket interface is needed to connect it to VESDAnet.
Key features
- Simple master/slave interface plus a subscription mechanism for asynchronous notification of alarm, fault and threshold changes
- Supports VESDA VLP, VLS, VLC, VLF and VLI detectors, and VESDA-E VEP, VEP 1P and VEU (not VES)
- Detector control including reset, disable, silence, alarm test and normalise
- Reports alarms to the host within a few seconds, depending on polling strategy and network size
- Recommended by Xtralis for secondary monitoring; for primary reporting the HLI must be integrated and approved/listed with the relevant fire panel or reporting system
