The Xtralis VESDA VHX-0400 is a ModBus High Level Interface (HLI), Type 1. It links a VESDAnet network with PC monitoring software, building management systems (BMS) or fire alarm control panels that support the Modbus protocol. The Type 1 version echoes each character received on the RS-232 link back to the host together with the reply message.
