The Xtralis VESDA VHX-1400 is a wall-mounted Modbus High Level Interface (HLI), Type 1. It links a VESDAnet network of VESDA detectors to host systems such as building management systems (BMS) and fire alarm control panels that support the Modbus protocol. The Type 1 version echoes each character received on the RS-232 link back to the host together with the reply message.
