The Xtralis VHX-1320 is the wall-mounted VESDA Access High Level Interface (HLI) in a metal enclosure. It integrates a VESDAnet network of VESDA aspirating smoke detectors with host platforms such as building management systems (BMS) and fire alarm control panels (FACP), acting as a proxy for every VESDA device on the network.
Key features
- Metal enclosure for permanent mounting on a flat surface
- Built-in VESDAnet interface, so no remote VESDAnet socket module is needed
- Supports up to 100 VESDA detectors on a single VESDAnet network
- Simple master/slave interface, plus a subscription mechanism for asynchronous notification of alarm, fault and threshold changes
- Supports VESDA VLP, VLS, VLC, VLF and VLI detectors, and VESDA-E VEP, VEP 1P and VEU (not VES), including Mimic Mode VLP/VLC/VLS
- Reports alarm status, fault status and detail, smoke level, alarm thresholds and operational status (normalisation, AutoLearn)
- Detector control: reset, disable, silence, alarm test and normalise
- Direct access to, and monitoring of, the VESDAnet system
- Seamless data transfer
- Easily configured using Xtralis configuration and monitoring software
- VESDAnet is a fault-tolerant, bi-directional protocol: if one direction of communication fails, messages are sent the other way
- Recommended for secondary monitoring; also suitable for primary reporting when integrated and approved/listed with the relevant fire panel
