Hikvision PoE Switches

Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches supply power and data to IP cameras over a single network cable, which removes the need for a separate power supply at each camera. This collection lists the Hikvision PoE switches available from JEM Systems UK for CCTV and network video installations.

Unmanaged and smart switches

Unmanaged switches are plug-and-play and suit simple camera installations. Smart switches add features such as VLANs and port monitoring, which can help on larger or more complex networks. Models are offered with 4, 8, 16, 24 and 48 ports, in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions, and some have SFP fibre uplinks for longer runs.

Harsh environment models

Harsh PoE switches are designed for tougher locations such as outdoor cabinets and industrial sites. Check the product page for the operating temperature range.

Choosing a switch

Add up the power drawn by your cameras and compare it with the switch's total PoE budget, and check the per-port limit for PTZ and other high-power cameras. Leave spare ports for future expansion, and make sure the uplink matches your recorder or network.

Hikvision NVRs with built-in PoE ports may be enough for small systems. See NVR and DVR recorders, wider PoE switches, cable and networking, or return to the full Hikvision range.
