The Advanced MXP-635-A is an active fibre optic converter for MxPro 5 and Axis EN fire panel networks. Used with SFP modules, it acts as a full fibre or hybrid copper/fibre modem for both radial and ring topology networks, designed for reliable data communication under the performance criteria of BS 5839-1.
The active version adds fibre optic system monitoring, diagnostics and reporting through the iView graphical user interface.
Key features
- Intelligent fibre optic communication interface with dynamic network management
- Independent reporting with Class A communication redundancy and multiple fault tolerance
- Hot-swappable SFP modules: multi-mode (up to 2km), single-mode (up to 20km) or bi-directional (up to 20km)
- One modem routes both in and out ports, so only one is needed per panel
- Galvanic isolation on the ports
- Adjustable RS-485 termination on ports B and C to match the loop cabling segment
- Single switch configuration for fibre optic or RS-485 media
- Simple LED status indication for fibre and RS-485
- Redundant power supply for increased reliability
- DIN rail mounting
