The Eaton Cooper LP800KIT loop tester kit is a hardware and software combination used to test, commission and fault find a loop of up to 200 Eaton intelligent addressable devices (sensors, sounders and ancillary devices) without connecting the loop to the control panel.
The loop tester connects between the device loop and a PC. It lets the engineer quickly identify and locate any device operating outside its normal conditions, and adjust the alarm, pre-alarm and fault thresholds of individual devices. It needs a free serial port on the PC (or a USB adaptor), a mains supply and a direct connection to the loop.
Key features
- Pre-addressing: identifies all field devices and reports their address and device type
- Real-time display of the analogue value of every loop device
- Test LED command: operates input device LEDs and controls sounder and output module outputs
- User-adjustable analogue ranges for OK, pre-alarm and fire
- Event log stored from the date the application was started
- Soft addressing: automatically assigns addresses to every device found on the loop
